Information we collect
When you use the closing portal, we collect: your business name, the stated offer amount, images of your government-issued identification, an image of a voided check, and any additional documents you choose to upload. We may also collect IP address and browser metadata for security purposes.
How we use it
We use these documents solely to: (a) verify your identity, (b) prepare closing and funding-agreement documents based on the approval already reached in underwriting, (c) verify the bank account for funding, and (d) communicate with you about your application. We do not sell your personal information.
How we store and secure it
Documents are stored in a private, encrypted-at-rest storage bucket. Access is restricted to authorized Approved Capital Source personnel who authenticate before every access. Documents are never made available via a public URL; all internal access is served through short-lived signed links. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Sharing with funding partners
To complete underwriting and funding, we may share your uploaded documents with the specific funding partner or lender evaluating your file. We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.
Retention and deletion
We retain your file for as long as reasonably necessary to service your funding relationship and to meet legal and audit obligations. You may request deletion of your documents by contacting info@approvedcapitalsource.com. We will honor deletion requests except where a legal, tax, or contractual obligation requires continued retention.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
